The kids playing
The beginning of the trail that leads to the rivers is close to the 45th parallel. A great way to discuss what latitude is with the kids - homeschooling never takes a vacation.

A grizzly bear on the distant hillside. People waiting along side the road for a glimpse at the bear. We waited about 30 min to get our view & pictures. When you see a group of people wit their cameras, binoculars, & spotting scopes you know something good is there to be seen!

The photographer/guide insisted on taking a picture of everyone. I finally consented despite wanting to take pictures not be in them!
